Would it be healthy for me to go on a juice diet to lose weight?

Hi, I'm about ten pounds away from being medically over weight (my body mass index is 23.9), so i was thinking of going on a juicer diet, mostly snacking on fruits and veggies all day and drinking juices from the juicer throughout the day and doing a couple of hours of cardio. Would you approve of this this? Would it hurt my body more than helping it?
From Sara:Hi Michele, going on a juice diet is a good and healing way to lose weight as long as it's done properly.
Learn about juice fasting thoroughly and
the benefits of prolonged fasting so that you can carry out a proper and responsible fast.
It is beneficial for you also to snack on fruits and vegetables while on a juice diet as you also provide the necessary fiber during this detoxing period for cleansing of the colon. A healthy colon will help your overall health.
However, while on a juice diet and snacking only on fruits and vegetables, I do not advise you to go on vigorous exercise as you need to conserve your energy for proper healing in your body to take place. So when you say "a couple hours of cardio" it may be too much for your body to take. Light stretching exercises would be better for you during this period of detoxing.

Sara
