Will protein be left in pulp?

by Jeffery
(Toronto, Canada)

I understand that juicing, especially done with masticating juicers will preserve most the nutrients of the fruit and vegetables, like vitamin and chlorophyll etc., but how about protein? Will it be left in the pulp solid?

Thanks,
Jeffery

Sara says:

Hi Jeffery, fruits and vegetables have very little or virtually no protein. I would not have you look to them for your protein supply.

One of the best plant sources is quinoa and avocado. Other good plant sources of protein are beans, nuts, seeds. Some examples are soy products (from soy beans), black beans, kidney beans, pinto beans, lima beans, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds, cashew nuts, etc.

See this amino-acid page for a better understanding of protein and other sources of protein.
