What is wheat and pet grass

by Gayathri
(Wheeling, IL, USA)

Hi Sara,

I love your website and have started on juice diet. I had been to the jewel osco in IL and they were selling something called as Wheat and pet grass...is that same as wheat grass? I wanted to buy that..but was skeptical. Please help.

Thanks.

From Sara:

Hi Gayathri,

For wheatgrass information, you may check out this page:
Health benefits of wheatgrass juice

Pet grass can be any type of grass (like rye, oat, alfalfa or other varieties) that is safe for feeding to your house pets. You can put the pot of pet grass close to your pet's food bowl for them to eat. It provides fiber and minerals for their digestive system. Some dogs/cats like them, some may not. It's something that you have to find out.
