What is a good juicing plan to help a diabetic get well?

My concern is that have been cautioned not to have too many carbs in my diet. But I love to juice, and I think it makes me feel so much better. I think people don't take in to account the micronutrients in juice that are beneficial to our health, and don't realise the problems that can be overcome by juicing. It gives me unbelievable energy that I usually dont have as a result of feeling like crap from having diabetes.
I want to do everything I can to reverse the effects of this illness, and be at top form. I will appreciate your advice, and continue to juice, no matter what.
From Sara:Gail, I admire your determination to get well from diabetes and I can tell you that it is definitely possible. Despite what your doctor tells you, THERE IS cure for diabetes and it is through proper detoxification and nutrition. I have helped people who changed their diet and were able to reverse their diabetic symptoms.
First of all, I suggest that you learn about detoxing your liver. Gerson Therapy is one of the best method I know that can detox/cleanse a liver effectively. This therapy alone can help to greatly improve your condition. Drinking
beetroot juice once a week and gradually increasing to twice a week, will also help to detox your liver.
Secondly, you will need to change your diet to one that is mostly (raw) vegetarian, avoiding (as much as possible) foods with sugar, salt, white flour, fatty foods and dairy products.
Avoid these harmful foods.Check out the
diabetes page for some suggestions of juices that can help. I have found regular consumption of bitter melon juices to be one of the most helpful. During your healing period, also start taking 2-3 tablespoon of
fresh flaxseed oil daily that will greatly help to balance up the cholesterol level in your body that is one of the contributors of diabetic problems.
As you do all the above, do monitor your blood sugar level frequently and talk to your doctor about reducing your medication in place of taking natural healing foods.
Cheers to your journey to recovery. Do write back to share how you're getting on.
