Portions

by Iris
(Asia)

I've read on the internet that no matter how much we drink fruit or veg juice a day, its only considered One portion; hence, the other 4 portions are still to be ingested solid. If that's the case, why do we juice a few times a day, or drink juice throughout the day? Are they not contradicting?

If we were to juice different recipes, ie, different vegetables each time, for 2 or 3 times a day, would that still considered One portion or 2 or 3 portions?

Thanks
iris

From Sara:

Iris, I don't know where you read such a thing, therefore, you would need to ask that source that question about what they are probably contradicting themselves.

I would think if you reduce your five portions to juices, then logically your body would have absorbed five portions worth of nutrients. What is lacking then is only the fiber. So we need to get back to the basics of why we juice, which are the nutrients for healing. We are still to obtain our fiber from other sources, i.e. by eating them solid or opt for alternatives like psyllum husk.
