Overdoing it

Hi, firstly, congratulations on a wonderfully informative site especially for me who has no knowledge at all about food let alone what is or is not healthy food. Thank you for answering so many of the questions I had since I decided to buy my wife a juicer for Christmas.
I obviously hope we will receive all the benefits you mention but I have one question. Is it possible to over do it, drink too much juice a day? If, for example, you drink a juice to cure a particular problem, once the problem is cured, what happens if you carry on taking that juice? Will it eventually work against you and perhaps make you unhealthy?
Thanks again.
Joe
Sara says:Hi Joe, thank you for your question. It makes me smile. :)
Drinking juices is like showering your body with love. Even when you're healthy (no one can be too healthy, and no one can have too much love!), drinking juice prevents you from getting sick (I'm talking about degenerative diseases).
Most people are actually deprived of proper hydration that is best obtained from juices that have high content of vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, phytonutrients--straight from nature. When you flood your body with these superior stuff, your health will keep improving and maintain, and prevent you from getting sick (from chronic diseases).
I'm not saying that juices alone can keep you from getting sick, but it helps. There are many other factors of course, like your lifestyle, your eating habits, your environment, your stress level, etc.
Initially, get use to juicing the basic apples, oranges, carrots, etc. Fruits might be easier for beginners, but eventually, you should try to shift to juicing green juices (less sweet) for better results.
Stop worrying and start enjoying your juices!
