On medication but doing a 21-day juice fast

I am on blood pressure medicine and I'm doing a 21 day juice fast no solids... should i stop my bp medicine or should I just continue to take it and monitor my bp daily? This is the second day of my fast and I'm tired my heart is racing off and on, does this mean my body is going through the detox process?
Sara says:Kathleen, please STOP your juice fast immediately. You're on medication and must not go on a juice fast without consulting your health practitioner. Do not attempt a 21-day juice fast without solids if you're not familiar with juice fasting. This can be dangerous for you.
Begin with daily juicing together with solids. Consume more green juices as these are more healing for your situation. When you feel up to it, start with half a day fast, (interval) then one day, (interval) two days, gradually increasing to more days.
As you juice more regularly, listen to how your body is responding to the juices. Continue to monitor your blood pressure, and work with your doctor to slowly decrease your medication as you feel better and better. You may not see the result immediately, but together with healthy eating (plenty of fresh and whole foods), the day will come when you can get off your medication (assuming you don't have other chronic diseases). But always work with your doctor on this.
Please read and understand more about juice fasting before you attempt such a long juice fast. Your heart racing on and off is definitely not a sign of detoxing but one that is working against you.
