I hope to address these issues as accurately as I can on this site. I don't claim to be an expert but I know that continuous researches and studies have been conducted in recent years. Nor will I attempt to be the know-all, but these information that I have gathered is sufficient to make me realize the full potential of healthy-living. What Is Health? Our human body is genetically designed to live over a hundred years. In ancient times, man lived to a few hundred years old. They were as close to nature as nature themselves. In these times, if disease-free, our body has the potential to live to at least 120 to 140 years old. There are a few cultures in the world that still exist, who live in the mountains, away from civilization, who routinely live up to over 100 years old. In 1973, the January issue of the National Geographic did a special article on these groups of people. One man was reported to be 167 years of age, the oldest living person at that time! Some of these people, were still fathering children even at age 100 years old, and were still active and healthy! What are we missing here? An average person today is considered "blessed" if he lived to seventy five years old. But is he really "living"? What's the quality of his life? Spending the last twenty years of his life in ill health? Seriously, what is health? To me, health is not just an absence of diseases, but it should also mean that my life is full of vitality.

The Modern Day Diet We have been led to believe that we must eat a "well-balanced" diet to stay healthy. While an average person eats a well-balanced diet, let us stop and think, just how effective is this so-called "well-balanced" diet?
