Liver detox for toxemia
by Sylvia
(Mexico)
Dear Sara, I love your web site, it is so encouraging to me. I have all the symptoms of toxemia. I have just bought my juicer, and with God's help I'll start juicing.
I have a question, do you think it is necessary to do the liver detox? I had my gallbladder removed years ago. And also, how can I do it? Could you tell me please?
How can I keep in touch with you? Do you counsel people? I hope to hear from you.
Sara says:Dear Sylvia,
Thank you for your kind note.
When you talk about liver detox, what do you have in mind? I do think everybody needs to do a liver detox, especially when you say you have all the symptoms of toxemia. Toxemia happens because our liver is not able to filter and eliminate the toxins in the blood due to congestion caused by gallbladder stones IN the liver bile ducts.
Although your gallbladder has been removed, you will still benefit from a gallbladder flush as most of the stones are in the liver, creating a host of many other health problems.
Please read my brief article on liver/gallbladder flush on my blog:
Health Myth ExposedI highly recommend you get a copy of the book listed on that page, to fully understand how you will greatly benefit from the detox, and how to do it, especially that you have had your gallbladder removed.
In the interim, do step up on juicing more GREEN juices. NO fruit juices for you for now as your blood acidity and toxicity is very high. Start with a small amount, check your tolerance level and gradually increase the amount till you can easily consume 8-10 oz (200-250ml) each time, drinking two or three times a day as you comfortably can drink.
Just by drinking green juices for about one or two weeks, you will see vast improvement to your energy level and health. Of course, you might even encounter some "healing reaction" in the process, but count it all joy as that is evidence that the green juices is doing some deep cleansing in your body. Make juicing a life-long lifestyle.
Green juices are the best foods for cleaning up a toxic environment in our body, at the same time repair damaged cells, heal and nourish them. Do avoid taking all the
harmful foods as much as you can, as these will slow down your healing ability.
For examples of what you can use for green juices, check under the "vegetable" category on the
Healing Foods page. For taste, you may add green apples, lemon or ginger. Get creative.
As for keeping in touch, if you're on Facebook, please do "be a fan" of the
