Juicing while pregnant

by Taz
(USA)

I am six weeks pregnant and I started juicing. I juice once a day. Some days I juice veg's and other days I juice fruit. I read some where that juicing can harm my baby.

The article said, "Juicing while pregnant increase the amount of nutrients your baby is getting, and once the baby is born, he or she will be come deficient."

For example if i take in a lot of vitamin C while pregnant, and after the child is born it will become vitamin C deficient.

I want to continue juicing, but now I have concerns. Please help!

From Sara:

Dear Taz, thank you for asking. This is absolutely ridiculous! Too much nutrient is like too much love. Will you hold back love from your baby?

Continue to do what you are doing and when your baby is born, give him/her the gift of a childhood that is full of fresh organic fruits and vegetables in his/her diet.

You are doing fine. Keep doing fine and your baby will be fine!

Yes, i read that too. I wish that bad advice was not on the web. It does say that the nutrient-deficient baby's mother was taking a vitamin C pill, not juicing. Taking a pill is much different from ingesting juices from plants and they should not have them in the same category!

I'm looking for other studies done on the effects of juicing on fetuses, or anything a professional has to say about it. Does anyone know of any other sites? Thank you!

It's funny because I read the same article. Though I felt it ridiculous, I still needed to hear it. Wouldn't want to harm our babies. Thank you for posting!
