Juicing and Daily Water Recomendations?

by Jerry
(Dallas, TX)

Hi Sara,

This is a great site ... lots of good information here.

Can you help clear up a question I have? When consuming juice 2-3 times a day, does one still need to drink 8 glasses of water in addition to the juice? Or can an 8 oz glass of juice satisfy both needs at once?

Thanks ... Jerry

Sara says:

Hi Jerry, thank you for asking.

Please go to this page to determine how much water your body needs daily. There is no hard and fast rule on how much you need to drink, but this is a good guide.

I would say that you drink the required amount of water ON TOP of your juices. Many people drink plenty juices but neglect to drink enough pure water.

Juices are detoxifying, so "dumps" plenty of old toxins into your bloodstream. By drinking enough pure water (distilled water recommended although this is controversial), it helps with elimination of these toxins and also help reduce healing reactions.

Hope this helps! Happy juicing!

Sara
