Juice's longitivity?

I juice everyday, and make it first thing in the morning, half a hour before breakfast. Now I make enough juice to make two glasses, one that I drink right away, the other which I drink about two hours later. I place my second juice in a thermos right away to avoid oxidation, and put in the fridge.
My question is how long can one keep his vegetable juice? My juices usually consist of carrots and apples, which I combine with celery, beet, and any type of green like kale, collards, or swiss chards.
Sara says:Hi Pierre, as I mentioned all over on my site, how long you can keep your juices also depends on what type of juicer you use. And how careful you store them.
As a guide, if you store them properly, i.e. filled them up to the brim to prevent air that causes oxidation, in an air-tight container/vacuum flask, and stored away in the refrigerator:
Using a
centrifugal juicer - gets oxidized almost as soon as you're done juicing.
Using a
single-gear juicer - possible to keep up to 24 hours from time of extraction.
Using a
twin-gear juicer - possible to keep up to 48 hours from time of extraction.
Using a
hydraulic press juicer - possible to keep up to 72 hours.
I often encourage that you drink your juices as fresh as possible in order to get the most out of the nutrients, enzymes before it naturally oxidizes.
Happy juicing!
