Juice fasting and weight loss
by Dorothy

I am a 22 year-old woman, 5'4 in height (vegetarian as well) and would like to lose about 25 pounds. I also have been treating my body horribly so would like to clean it out and feel refreshed, while strengthening my mind with a juice fast. I'll drink fresh vegetable and fruit juices.
I wanted to know a number of things ... is it possible to lose that amount of weight on a juice fast?
Also, if it is indeed possible to lose that amount of weight, how long do you think it would possibly take? Is there an approximate guess you might have?
Would it be only water weight I'm losing, or would I actually be losing "fat" and burning calories?
Would light exercise be needed as well during the fast, or no?
Please do let me know if you can answer my questions. I'd greatly appreciate it. thank you.
From Sara:
Dorothy, one of the most effective way to lose weight is by drinking plenty green juices and eating only raw vegetables (as much as you want and as you can, to keep full) two to three weeks.
You may not be able to keep up with this kind of diet, so break it up into do-able number of days and avoid as much harmful foods as you can in between; and continue to include much fresh fruits and vegetables in your dietary.
This kind of diet keeps your cells hydrated with the necessary minerals. Not only will this help improve your health, it will also help you lose water and fats without losing muscles.
Do light exercises that work your entire body. One easy exercise to do is as per the video below.
