Is it okay to mix grapefruit juice with green/carrot juice?

by Barbara Washburn
(Jasper GA)

I juice every day and love it. I have been encouraging friends to get started. One has a sister who bought a Champion and juices grapefruit with everything. I was told to only add apple or maybe a little lemon to carrot/green juices. On reading all of the benefits from juicing grapefruit I am wondering now which is correct from a beneficial health stand point.

From Sara:

Barbara, there is no right and wrong way to mix grapefruit juice. In fact, why don't you experiment and see which you like best. From the health perspective, I believe when you mix juices, the vitamins and minerals in the mixed juices may produce amazing synergistic benefits that we may be unaware of. And we won't know till we try them.

Don't limit yourself to just apple and lemon. Carrot juice is a very versatile juice and can easily mix with almost any other juices. I usually use carrot juice as a "base" from the vegetable group, and green apple as a "base" from the fruits group. These mix well with almost anything.
