I Was Suckled On Carrot Juice

When I was an infant in Canada my mother became convinced that cow's milk was a bad way to nourish me and, instead, raised me on drinking fresh carrot juice.
As I grew I came to hate carrot juice until just a few years ago when I was told I had developed cancer.
Since I didn't want to submit to an operation, I consulted a naturopath who, advised me to make several changes in my diet ... one of which was consuming abundant fresh vegtables and fruits.
I resurrected the old stainless-steel juicer I'd inherited from my mother which, although it was well over 40 years old, still functioned better than many of the cheaper machines which are sold today.
Using this machine, I learned to combine various different vegetables and fruits to produce very tasty and nutritious cocktails which I now consume on a daily basis. (Although, its still not my favorite, I've almost started to enjoy freshly made carrot juice if made from clean young carrots which aren't too large.)
This didn't cure my cancer, but when I finally did have an operation, I had greatly de-toxified my body, and was able to go through chemotherapy with almost none of the drastic side effects which so commonly is associated with that treatment -- a fact which I feel was greatly affected by the positive benefits brought to me by using fresh juices.
I don't look at juices as a miracle cure for everything as some fanatics seem to claim, but I have learned to enjoy them and highly recommend them as a great way to add healthy variety to what you eat and drink.
