I have been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

by Sandy
(Canada)

I have always been health conscious. Run 40k per week plus weight train 4 times per week. Eat fairly healthy. No processed foods or fried. When I turned 50 (I am now 53) I contracted a flu and have not felt 100% healthy ever since. Blood work shows every thing is fine other than B12 which I have been getting shots for as I have been told I cannot absorb through my stomach.

Also iron levels were very low as I had fibroids and had very heavy periods. Iron levels have improved as I am in perimenopause. It is almost like I am allergic to exercise now. The more I try to do the sicker I get. It has been slowly improving. Not sure why but I am not able to walk run 3 times per week. I want to get back to my level of health and energy, before I got sick. I am on medication for stomach problems.

I have been considering juicing, but it sounds confusing and almost dangerous with high sugar levels etc. Not sure what to do? Just want to feel healthy again.

Regards
Sandy

From Sara:

Sandy, let's nurse you back to health. But know that excess exercise also causes oxidative stress in your body which will surface later on in life (probably now). More doesn't mean better.

First of all, may I suggest to you that you look around for quality probiotics (good bacteria) and go on a course of probiotics (about 2-3 months) for two reasons:

1) The medication you're taking and through faulty eating throughout the years, the good bacteria in your stomach have been wiped out, causing you stomach problems and other health problems. Stop your stomach medication and go on probiotics; you will see most of your stomach problems go away. Get probiotics from a health store, not from the doctor.

2) Sufficient probiotics in your stomach will also help you to absorb the nutrients and enzymes from the fresh foods you take.

To gain back your energy, you need to cut out on meat and increase on your fruits and vegetables intake, especially on green leafy vegetables that will provide you iron. Learn to make and have a big bowl of fresh salad every day (without the harmful dressing!).

Check the harmful foods to avoid:
www.juicing-for-health.com/harmful-foods.html

Next, take a cleansing drink as much as you can for as long as you want: In 1 liter of distilled water, add in 1 tbsp raw honey (must be raw) and 2-3 tbsp Bragg's apple cider vinegar (it must be the murky acv, not the clear one). Drink this daily for cleansing and building your tissues.

As for juicing, it is not dangerous if you do it correctly as I have shared on my site. Get a good gear juicer (not centrifugal) like this one:
www.juicing-for-health.com/alpha-juicer.html.

For a start, you need only to juice (organic) carrots and green apples. Drink 2 times a day if you can, or at least once about 8 oz each time. These should be enough to provide you with most nutrition.

And finally, start taking 1 tbsp of fresh flaxseed oil twice a day. This alone will provide you much energy that you need. Read more about EFAs here:
www.juicing-for-health.com/EFAs-healing-fats.html

When you've done all the above, you might also want to consider taking Essiac Tea to shrink your fibroid. Do a research on the internet to read about this cleansing tea and where you can purchase it closer to home.

Sandy, this might seem overwhelming to you, but even when you implement any one of the advice above you will see great improvement to your energy level, motivating you to do more. Living healthy is a lifestyle.

All the best, and do write back with your progress.

Kind regards,
Sara
