Energy Booster Smoothie

Next time you need an energy boost,
turn to nature that is healing and nourishing.







You wake up in the morning and you dread getting up.  You don't feel you're up to it because you have had so many late nights.  You're tired and want to sleep another 24 hours if you can, but no, you have to get up as there's another deadline to meet by end of your work day.  You get up but you just feel so so tired.

The smoothie recipes here contain healthy complex carbohydrates that provide you the energy you need, and are protein-rich.  It can affect the neurotransmitters that stimulate your brain.  Avoid refined carbohydrates (from bread, pasta, cakes, etc.) and alcohol.  These will further kill whatever little energy you have left.

However, if you are chronically tired and fatigue is an endless problem, you could have a much more serious problem.  In which case it could be that your colon health is sluggish.

Banana Cocoa Shake

 This creamy brown smoothie is rich in protein, providing you with the necessary boost to keep you awake and alert.  Keep some cocoa powder just for occasions like these.  Blend all together in your blender.

1/2 cup of chilled silken tofu
1/2 cup milk of choice
3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
1 teaspoon flaxseed powder

This creamy smoothie will jolt you up in the morning.  Easy to prepare, filling and definitely will keep you energized for most part of the day.
