Can you recommend a juice remedy for nose bleeding?

My sons, 13 and 7, frequently have nose bleeding episodes. Sometimes, the bleeding can be quite alarmingly profuse. What can I give them to help prevent these bleeding episodes which the doctors say are just a passing phase?
From Sara:Jocelyn, I can understand your frustration. My daughter used to have nose bleeding and the doctor also said that "it is a passing phase and that she will outgrow it". What total ignorance!!
I have found out since, that it is the "food" that she had been taking that caused the nose-bleeding. When she has a bout of nose-bleed, I would ask her what she ate in school that day; she would sheepishly tell me that she did take some "forbidden junk food". I've managed to "control" her diet, cutting out on all the
harmful foods, and giving her juices and supplements. She has long since stopped nose-bleeding.
As for your sons, it could be that they are on a mostly meat diet. Do they frequently take fresh fruits and vegetables? It would be ideal if they could cut out on meat and take more fresh fruits and vegetables, or at least reduce on meat. That alone, would have helped a lot.
If it is difficult for them to take veg (which is common for meat-eaters), then try to give them more juices that are rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C helps to heal the wounds, repair and build/strengthen the lining of the mucous membranes.
Fruits that are rich sources of vitamin C are: capsicums, oranges, grapefruits, guavas, cranberries, strawberries. Get a good gear juicer
like this one and start to give them about 6-8 oz of vitamin C-rich juices twice everyday.
Though you may not see immediate result, you will see that the nose-bleed recurrence will be further and further apart, until they eventually stop. The side benefit is that in the process, you will also build their immune system.
In the interim, the next time a nose-bleed should happen, do not panic. Seat them down and continuously pat cool (not cold) water on their foreheads and the nose-bleed should subside very quickly.
All the best and happy juicing !
