Can I juice veggies and fruit together?

by Christina
(Easte Windsor NJ)

I was wondering if juicing veggies and fruit together is a bad thing. The ingredients I use in my juice are 2 carrotts, 1 celery stick, 1 or 2 green apples, 3 strawberrys and maybe 6 grapes, and to add a little more flavor a capful of POM juice. Is this good to do? Since doing it, my skin is glowing, my friend noticed it immediately. I haven't had clear skin since I was a child. This is the first in 3 decades I've heard this.

Much Blessings and please keep up the good work!!!

Christina

From Sara:

Christina, you just answered your own question! Your skin is glowing where it never had since you were a child, and your friend noticed it. Isn't this a good enough reason to continue? If your skin glows, can it be bad?

I say "well done" and keep it up!

God bless!

juicing bananas
by: Debbie

I just purchased a Breville. I had one of the first Juicemans. You can do kale but the leaves have to be rolled up tight in a bunch.

Organic lemons you don't have to peel ... but oranges, grapefruit and tangerines you peel and leave as much as the white as you can.

You can leave skin on everything else even pineapple and melons, but in melons remove as many seeds as you can. Carrots go in large end first. Go extra slow with celery

Soft fruits such as bananas apricots plums, etc. are not suitable for juicing because a clear juice can't be obtained. Pears are a soft fruit but if very firm you can juice with an apple using apple first then pear then apple always ending in apple.

Blending or juicing
by: Valerie

I bought a Breville juicer and a Ninja blender but I am not sure what to blend and what to juice. I tried putting certain things through my juicer like strawberries, raspberries, banannas, kale lettuce but dont get any juice from them. Should I be blending them instead? I read that people are putting them through their juicer.

Question
by: Lisa

I was just curious as to which type of Juicer you own?

A centrifugal or gear one?

I'm only asking because as I just received the Jack La Lanne's Juicer, I only now realized it's a centrifugal juicer and after reading more and more on this site I see that centrifugal juicers can cause more oxidation than gear juicers.

Now I'm not sure whether to pack up my Jack La Lanne Juicer and head back to the store looking for a gear juicer.

I've been using mine since Christmas, and actually love it. We juice spinach, apples, oranges, kiwi, carrots, celery, tomatoes and now know to use lemon to reduce oxidation. I don't want to use something I'm wasting my time with or harming my body by drinking oxidized, or spoiled, juice. We do drink the juice immediately upon it's juiced.
Any information will help and congrats on younger and clearer looking skin.

Juicing Veggies/Fruits together
by: Anonymous

Hi Sara! LOL!
That was funny, yes I may have answered my own question. I had heard somewhere in the Ann Wigimore Wheatgrass book that you should do both.
But I will continue!!

Sara, you are a sweatheart!!
