Guttentag Heinz, ich bin SBIer... by: Marc from Frugalicity.com
unt ich liebe Juicing-for-Health.com auch.
(aber ich spreche niche gut Deutsch.)
Sorry if this is too off the topic of Juicing and Juicers, but I just wanted to respond to you Heinz and let you know that I too am an SBIer AND my mother was also born in Leipzig Germany.
She said there were a lot of Russians in Leipzig when she was growing up. It was tough times to be sure. I've seen some of her old 2 million mark notes from that time - and I often wonder if the U.S. dollar is heading in the same direction.
My mother was raised by a famous inventor in teh East and at one point he had to pay for food, clothing, ect. with diamonds because cash was worthless other than as fuel for fires.
I thought it was a neat coincidence to return here after finding this site in the forums earlier yesterday, and then seeing an SBIer from Liepzig pop up.
The family now all lives in beautiful upstate South Carolina, USA. I sure miss Germany with all its pragmatic, no B.S., to the point people, and also that good German Juice (i.e. STRONG Beer) WUNDERBAR!
I being an Airforce brat, grew up near Idar Oberstein in the early seventies.
I used to have a grandmother living in Berlin too. My lucky brother just happened to be visiting her there when the Berlin Wall came down. He brought a huge chunk of the old Wall home.
At one point before I was born my dad was a border guard on the American side of the wall at Checkpoint Charlie and at the same time my cousin Sep was a border guard on the East German communist side of the Wall in Berlin. How many people can say that?!
I was able to go meet Sep and his wife in the town of Blankenfelde after the Wall came down. They were happy to finally be able to travel into the west.
So any way, I wish you great luck with SBI (though as we SBIers know, luck's got nothing to do with it;^)
