The Green Power Kempo
1) How does the kempo juicer compare with the TwinHealth juicer? I note that kempo has very small turbines; whereas the Twinhealth has 2 large stainless steel turbines (no plastic there!).
2) Can i use the kempo juicer to make cranberry juice from fresh cranberries?
3) I don't understand the function of that small gadget at the end - "it adjusts pressure", etc. What is it used for exactly? When do I tighten it and when should it be looser? For example, should it be tighter for carrots and looser for green leafy vegetables (salad, etc)? or is it the opposite? i have seen no explanation for how this gadget is supposed to be used! I saw a short film awhile back where the guy making juice kept adjusting it, but he did not explain why and when!
Thank you!

From Sara:Dear Dr Sheldon, to answer your questions:
1) The
Green Power Kempo and the
Twinhealth juicers are both twin gear juicers and they are different in build but similar in functions. Both may be a little bit complicated to use and require some understanding in order to make full use of their features. Once you understand the machines, they both produce very high quality juices that are superior to single-gear juicers.
2) Yes, you can use the
Green Power Kempo to extract juice from fresh cranberries.
3) The "small gadget at the end" is the "pressure adjuster knobs". A good way of understanding this knob is to know that it's assisting you to get the most drops out of your juices. For example, if you're squeezing a soft fruit, like an orange, you would require extra pressure to squeeze it really dry, with less space for the pulp to escape, therefore, you tighten the knob.
When you're squeezing a harder item, like a carrot, you need less pressure and want to prevent the pulp to clog up, therefore, you loosen the knob. An apple which is neither hard nor soft, would require medium pressure.
Hope this helps.
