Lemon is such an effective fruit in relieving so many ailments that I simply had to do an in-depth research on it. I was truly impressed with what I found ... of how magnificent this little yellow fruit really is. Although this issue of Juicy News is the third one in a row to speak on the wonders of citrus food, I am still amazed with what a little fruit can do. Really!
they are actually alkaline-forming when consumed. This is beneficial in preventing over-acidity in our body. For that alone you can imagine how many ailments it can help prevent as diseases thrive in an acidic environment.
Here are the highlights of only some of the many health benefits of lemons: Asthma: Take a tablespoon of lemon juice at least one hour before each meal to relieve asthma. Cold: The anti-viral properties in lemon fight infections and halt the progress of a cold. Take the juice of two lemons in half a liter of hot water and add honey to taste. Sip it slowly before bedtime. Constipation: Drink a glass of warm water every morning with some lime/lemon juice with honey. Stir in a pinch of cinnamon powder. This will help your body to detoxify and relieve constipation. Digestion: Lime/lemon juice have amazing digestive qualities that are very similar to our digestive enzymes. Thus it effectively helps with digestion and relieve bloating and belching. Sore throat: Mix one part lemon juice with one part water. Gargle frequently and feel its soothing effect on the throat. You may also add in a pinch of sea salt for added effect.

Lime/Lemon. From now on, always keep some lemons handy in your
fridge. This one is my favorite and is highly effective. Whenever you feel a cold coming, boost your immune with this easy-to-make recipe. One cup will easily prevent the cold to come on. For a bad cold, take two or three times or when necessary.
- Juice a medium-sized lemon together with its peel
- Add into the juicer, a one-inch
ginger, cleaned - Add two tablespoon of raw honey, or to taste - Pour in about 200ml hot water
Stir and drink slowly.
JUICY TIP:
When drinking water, drop in a slice of lemon into your glass of water for its added nutrients.
